Interesting choice of subject. Los of good detail, color. It does look a bit dark and soft, obscuring some of the detail you tried to capture. Here I would selectively brighten the subject, add a bit more contrast and sharpening to bring out the main subject. I don't disagree with the earlier comments regard the cropping and composition, Finally, there are a lot of stay straight-line editing marks in the background (lower right, upper right, mid left) which could become problematic is printed or expanded some. |

Great subject, color, clarity and composition. I applaud your choice of background with this artistic piece. The pinstripe border was a good idea although I might have chosen a darker red (not so bright) color for this element. In my view the border should outline and highlight the image and not compete with the image. |

Good color and composition. The native texture of the subjects come through nicely. The inclusion of some of the background serves to give us a bit of context as well. As noted earlier it would have been nice to have the entire subject in focus and sharp. I don't disagree with the comments regarding your aperture choice. |

Great image of this critter. Your tight composition really emphasizes this guy. Your rather heavy vignetting also serves to pull our eye into the subject. As noted earlier, the inclusion of some of the background serves to give us a bit of context as well. |

Great composition, color and clarity. I love how you effectively capture the translucent quality of the blooms. |
