Well seen Janos !!! Seeing these images is not easy, and represents one aspect of Photography which challenges me the most and you have captured a gem here. Rendering the image as a B&W really adds to the image as well. In doing so, you have emphasized the lines, shapes and patterns, moving the viewer to see this more as an abstract image as opposed to a shot from reality. Well done ! I especially like the contrast between the straight and curves lines within the image.
I am hard pressed to offer any negative criticisms here. I could comment on the contrasting tonal quality and suggest a bit less contrast, or suggest a bit of vignetting to center the eye, but these are nitpicking and purely subjective points, and my heart's really not into them.
I am looking forward to next moth's contribution.

What a wonderful abstract image, and I really liked that you sent in the original image that it came from. I don't know if I would have seen the image that you did, and that impresses me the more.
Creative shots are hard to judge (and I do a fair amount of image judging for the camera clubs in the San Francisco area), since they are so much a product of the makers vision. I do love the general composition, color gradient and differential textures of this image, and adding a few more bubbles adds to the image.
The one thing that I would change were this my image is I would try to add a bit more of the ice cube in the lower right. The bottom of this cube is cut off, and to my eye, this adds more tension to the image than the image requires. As I re-read your description I see that you flipped the image, so the cut off bottom is actually the liquid surface, so I wonder if flipping the image was worth the effort. Assuming that it was, could you have reconstructed the tip of the ice cube from the information within the image ?
These are all "Makers Choice", so take the comments as you see fit.
A great effort and the wonderful contribution. Thanks !
