I understand where you are coming from, but for this photo I was looking to get balance in the reflections of the bottles through the wine glasses. This was the best I could get so I stuck with it. Someday I will try a different take on it and see if it works. |

Nice colors in this water lilly seemed like you did a nice job on your adjustments. I was impressed, no little back bugs on it, Here in Michigan I don't care when I always have them on the water lilies, luckily they are easily removable in editing. |

Very nice photo. I feel it projects a feeling of calm to the viewer. Would leave it just as is. |

Overall I like this image, your editing does give the impression of the ship coming out of the fog. I feel that it would help to fix two issues with it. The first is you need to blend in the area of the ship to the background in front and some small areas in the back. Also to my eye the man in the blue shirt projects out of the photo, I would change the shirt color or clone him out. The other people just blend nicely in the ship. With those two corrections I feel that this photo would do well in a competition. |

From your comments I think that this is not quite the final result that you were looking for so I feel that i should pass on critiquing on your image. |

very good use of taken an ordinary subject and using an area of it to create an interesting image. You applied just the correct amount of adjustments on this photo. I feel that making this a monochrome image helps to enhance the subject. I feel that this photo grabs a viewers attention as you try to figure out what it is. |
