An intriguing composition of two boats Paul. You have left me guessing if you were attempting to create an effect, be it mystery or even to create tension as both boats' leading lines are conflicting. As it is, the image is a bit too dark for my taste. Very unusual cloud patterns between the mast You got the team talking, great job. |

Yes, I agree when color is not adding anything go black and white. A suggestion to avoid losing the contrail. Prior to converting prepare a copy of your original image for conversion. Increase the contrast at least by twenty to thirty percent and the saturation by approximately twenty percent. I share your taste of less distractions is superb. |

In a panning composition all is not lost if the subject is somewhat blurred, as it implies motion. Your technique was okay. From my viewpoint I would have planned for a background that does not shout yellow. Yellow happens to be the one color the eye will look at first. Otherwise, fine. |

Interesting idea placing flowers atop a light box. Have you shot frozen flowers under glass Judith? What you accomplished with two stray supermarket tulip flowers is wonderful. |

Very inviting image from within Yosemite NP. I like your composition balancing trees on each side of center, the subtle leading line of the depression in the meadow and the granite formation (looks like the back side of half dome or El Capitan. I suspect you wanted to further draw attention to the meadow by keeping the background in haze. Nice capture Barbara. |

The scene you have captured is very inviting - the pond, lower waterfall, cave like recess, upper fall, and sky. Also having a few hikers standing by and enjoying the scenery adds. To me the image appears slightly washed out, so I used the dehaze adjustment to bring out the natural color and vibrance. |
