A captivating single strobe softly lit portraiture of your friend, who is quite relaxed. Black and white has the wonderful ability of picking up all the detailed features of a subject in an accurate way. Well done, Paul. |

Interesting capture of an old and new bridge from below the level of the bridge. Timing is everything, the strong and colorful starburst from the sun commands attention, as does the sun's reflection off the waterway. That we can see under the bridge and see something near and far ground adds. I agree with deleting the pole and cutting back on the sky or exchanging for a non-de with some clouds. As a suggestion I would reduce the shadowing under the bridges to the right side, just enough to provide some recognizable detail. Good find.

Here we have a building with a classic detailed design workman ship which appears to be of wood and contrasting wooden flower beds in the foreground. Excellent focus all seems to be sharp. I agree with Tom about compositing all the visitors from another frame. Your image keeps one's eyes busy taking it all in. Nice capture. While your color image offers brightness throughout and variations in tone, contrast and colors, the black and white image does not. |

Superb control of lighting Judith. Your time spent on arrangement was worth it. That the larger green apple to the right side draws the viewer's eye, besides placing the apple there was anything done in post to achieve that? |

Wonderful imagination Barbara. A little rotating, cloning and cropping yields one more perspective. |

It is the wonderful time of the year when summertime memories are still fresh, and adding the burst of autumn colors and cooler air just makes one ask if heaven can be any better. I too would leave the walker as is Tom and crop a bit off the left. I added some red and orange value which added interest to the foreground

Prior to submitting this image I did sharpen in Topaz believing I had not previously done so. I was wrong. Which led to oversharpening and exaggerating the variance between the back and face. |

You are correct. At the moment of depressing the shutter release I did not take the extra time to manually focus. |
