I love structual decay Paul, as many times it seems to create some different feelings. Exposure was compensated correctly, the image is sharp and in focus throughout. Curious if you darken the sky a bit so it would not distract.
I would suggest giving consideration to cropping in from the left, eliminated some distracting implements, and cloning out some distracting railings.

Interesting framing, Gaetan. Subject and background sufficiently in focus, foreground a bit soft. Nice fully saturated bright colors. I have taken the liberty of attaching a tighter perspective, just for conversation.

Classic portraiture, lighting both sides and front. Frontal lighting appears 3:1 to side lighting producing in shadow but detailed left side, right side lighting evidenced by white fringe on nose. Controlled lighting on chair and also on background. Excellent. |

Your image Barbara with the harmony of the subtle colors renders a peaceful spring time feeling. With some brightness and contrast adjustments to the background, clone stamping and cropping, I have attached my perspective. |

Both railings and roadway lead the eyes initially to the deteriorating interior of the bridge. Then my eyes were drawn secondarily to the bright red bridge siding. That says a lot Tom for your guiding composition, stronger than bright red. I always enjoy tracking down covered bridges, as they seem to beckon you to bygone days. Excellent composition, color contrast, brightness and color saturation. I like your image as is Tom. |

Thanks Gaetan. I am not ready yet to carry the tripod I have, after my car crash. I was backed up as far as I could manage, so I would need a different lens. |
