The backyard setting is lovely Paul and the time of day was perfect. I agree taking out the crane. I continued further with your efforts cropping up further from the bottom. Also, I lessened the brightness in both the foreground and the left side background. |

You have created a dramatic sunset image in post, and it is gorgeous. The colors are bold, detail has been brought out in the clouds, and tonal variation attracts with interest. I favor Barbara's suggestion to composite in a bird or two. I also agree the image is too dark and brown. Nice image. |

Your image is pleasing to view I believe this is due to warm colors, the balance between foreground and background objects. Therefore, I have no objection to the trees as such. To correct the tilt in the main structure would likely involve free transforming it and using fill as necessary. My main advice, Hoshedar, is for you to decide why you took this image and identify your main subject. Too me, your image somewhat favors the lady and branches being in the foreground, and lending depth of field. If this is your answer, you might consider giving more emphasis to the lady (full height, adjusting the brightness value a bit higher) and toning down the branches somewhat. Just my approach. |

Good effort compositing your two images Tony. Your result is two birds that could be talking with each other, the bright yellow color on the left really attracts the viewer's eye, the painting appears realistic. One slight suggestion is to lighten the shadow under the right-side bird's head. The triangular line appears sharp enough that the sun is positioned differently than on the other bird. |

Very nice image Barbara. The contrast of the high degree of sharp detail and the somewhat darker soft bokeh for a background. My compliments for your steady hands Barbara. The reflection in the eye and the feature add. |

Looks like a great day to have captured this image, Tom. Nice and sunny, the strong red color stands out and the sky indicates a comfortable day. Backing down on the interior shadows and capturing the portion beyond the bridge makes this photo for me. Nice capture. Many times, I have decreased brightness in the pathway to the bridge. From my perspective I would look at increasing the shadows below the bridge roofing and decrease the overall brightness.
PS. If you find the chance to travel a bit further into the northwest corner of Indiana you will come to Parke County. With approximatley 36 covered bridges it is considered the covered bridge capital of the nation. The county provides online provides maps, images and descriptions. |
