Thank you for your feedback Barbara. Your points are well taken. While I agree floral images definitely benefit from focus stacking, I had to capture this image handheld. That will be until my recovery from an accident permits me to carry a tripod. |

In black and white there is so much latitude to create the image you wish. For a bit more dramatic rendition, Hoschedar, I applied a distortion filter, then lowered the exposure by one-third stop, opened the shadows, applied the dehaze filter at 50 and applied a subtle dark vignette.

Tony, the varying illumination of the night sky across your image and the bright reflecting light above Coit Tower is what draws my attention. Your image is sharp, attracts attention and is technically fine. |
