You're in close cropping was essential to focus on what was the real image. The viewer's eyes are drawn right to the ice and the unsorted catch. Also catching is the strong contrast between the worker's blue shirts and their orange overalls. One small point, Paul, looing back could one have lowered the shutter speed to 1/250 and bring the iso down? |

What a precious child sharing her emotional response for your tasty gift. Makes me wonder if her expression changed even more after a couple of bites. The eyes, are the center of attention, with the reflections of her surroundings make this image. The story of this young child having a couple of moments to take time away from seemingly hard times is well communicated Helen. I also believe your image would have benefited from included a bit more around the girl, unless they would have distracted the viewer. Very nice. |

People in action always interest me. Thanks for the background information, Hoshedar. I have added a vignette, value 15 in PS. Your timing and shutter speed were perfect. For me the subject is not tack sharp. I have used Topaz Labs DeNoise Ai and Sharpen Ai since their beginning and highly recommend. |

I am curious how old would you guess the bamboo trees are? Interesting contrast between the overall predominance of the color green as opposed to the colors and patterns of the umbrellas? Nice image Tony. |

Barb I believe the Hawk's expression elevates your image, and am in favor of lessening and eliminating the detracting limbs and foilage. And agree with Tom's cropping suggestion as well. Such a beautiful bird. |

An interesting capture, the rolling hills with succeeding less visibility and detail, the shadows and feeling of an impending storm in contrast with the brilliant floral colors. You are fortunate for the visibility of the surroundings on the day you visited Tom. Just for the heck of it I flipped the image. With my site traversing left to right I experienced an openness as I looked leftward. However, not in alignment with the title, but interesting. |
