Sounds like this is one of your favorite go to locations for a variety of subjects to capture. I like how the lighter blue container pulls the viewer's eye and the darker cloudy laden sky for mood. I might suggest, Paul, identifying an individual subject and closing in. |

Thank you, Grace, for sharing your story in detail, quite interesting. This reminds me of our Lodgepole Pine trees in the Northwest that regenerate after a fire. Of your two submitted images I like the second one for being close up, drawing selective interest to the subject flower and the contrasting maroon-colored anthers. |

I favor the application of the Orton Effect for a surrealistic look Tony. That is maintains some detail is interesting. I would leave it as is. |

Nicely captured Barbara. I like the wings showing some blur. I believe the plant to the left takes away from your image and so, also I would darken it away. |

I like the composition of your image; your adjustments did help considerably. It does seem a bit too dreary. As white paint has a way of darkening over time, I would be doubtful as attractive as Tony's version looks, that the scene looked that way. |

Thanks Paul. Our bird feeders are just outside our kitchen windows. I like your comment about opening the shadow. |
