Your image draws my eye down the lane quite a distance for interest and technically, and, for me, the focus and sharpness are fine.
I feel the image could be improved by attempting to restore the impact the sky had in your original image. Increasing the red level in the sky should help. While the original image displayed an interesting level of contrast the b&w image does not. Overall the image appears dreary, with the snow not white, but maybe that was intentional. Since you live not too far, maybe right after a good snowfall, you could head back and capture the scene with only a single tire track.

The red car really draws attention against the tan color of the sand and, to me, also due to the narrow depth of field. The oxymoron story of man-made decay against a wonderful natural backdrop is unique Les.
I feel the depth of the warmish coloration is fighting with the red car top for attention, and would suggest to adjust the sand color back to it's natural color. In addition I agree with cropping off the sky.

Gorgeous image Tony. Your image has a lot going for it: impact, story. areas of interest, color harmony and technical excellence. I too would suggest cropping up somewhat from the bottom. |

From my perspective, Barbara, this colorful image is an impactful creative abstract image which draws my eyes into the initial burst, then has me follow the swirl around to your addition. I favor the digital framing. |

Impactful story with fine color, good technical elements and good cleanup of distracting elements Tom. I do like Tony's efforts, but I believe that is a matter of personal taste, not necessary. Composition wise I find the subject adult's face is midway across the image. Cropping in from the left side to remedy would be my only suggestion. |
