Drawing attention to the car and interior of the garage is key here Grace. Seperation techniques like darkening what is around or elsewhere in the image, thus drawing attention to the subject as it will be brighter. Other methods of obtaining seperation methods involve either: having the subject more in focus; sharper; with saturated color; contrast. Also maintain color in subject, and convert the rest to b&w. |

Grace, you have some very interesting as well as challenging images to work with. in your main image I would first determine if you have detail in the lower bright areas to tone back. Hopefully you can, because other wise you will not be able to overcome this shortcoming. |

Very interesting capture Les, decay, but with lighting and bright reds and greens. To me I would prefer to do without the colors. That seems to take away from the concept of decay. I too would favor this as a b&w conversion, applying separation techniques draw the viewer's eye. |

To me, technically near perfection Tony. The highlighting around the subject's right eye and beard are impactful. The edge lighting along his leg adds. Blurring the background and balancing the lighting in the roadway were beneficial as well. I am curious why an aperture of f/13 was used?
My only suggestion would be to consider lightening the gentlemen's face a bit. Otherwise great image Tony.

What a nice impactful sunset image, Barbara, with the cloud coverage and the unique detail within. Composition wise, including the silhouetted tree tops, adds to the overall appeal. Well exposed and processed.
My only sugggestion would be to crop in from the left eliminating the bright area.

Tom, I like the complimentary rustic colors of the mill and covered bridge and the framing between the trees. You have captured the detail throughout.
To me this represents a challenging image to photograph. To capture the story requires the large negative area of the bright sky to be included, which in my opinion unfortunately competes with the brightness of the pond as well as the mill. By how the covered bridge is positioned my eye really wants to travel to it first. However, the brightness of other areas prevents me from doing so. If your travel plans had permitted my guess is you would have desired to visited here under more ideal balanced lighting.
