Guy, I appreciated reading your comments about toning down the red value in Tony Tams Cliff House Sunset. I also found converting to b&w provided just as dynamic of an image as in color. |

Your imagery along with processing provide the viewer a wow moment, Tony. Your rendition of this sunset comes together well enough to overpower the two cardinal rules that were put to the side - centering the subject and composing the horizon line at about fifty percent. Glad you ignored them for the sure joy of reviewing this lovely image.
I also enjoyed reading the techniques used by Guy to pull down the red values. |

Well done Barbara. Excellent composition, clear image and in focus throughout. I find it interesting how one's eyes are drawn inward from the sun, by the reflecting sunlight, to a couple of boulders adding interest in the foreground, then bact out to the left for the silhouetted beach walkers. |

Tom,you have captured an inviting mission scene, with excellent framing to focus one's eyes to inside the courtyard. The sky with a fine cloud pattern adds. A question for your thoughts, is where in the courtyard did you wish for the viewer to be attracted to? I find my eyes immediately drawn into the courtyard, but upon arriving, I am attracted to look upward to the interesting sky. |

Barbara, I appreciate and agree with your suggestion to crop in, thus avoiding the styrofoam container, and to lighten the background sign further. |
