Thanks Lisa!
I seem to be attracted to the grainy look but am aware that in Image Comp, they like sharp, focused and finished so I'll continue to work on that.

In photoshop, go to Image>Adjustments> Match Color
You'll get a pop up window where you can select different layers of your photo (you need at least two different images)
Play around with the sliders...
Have fun! |

Another one in a great series Tom!! Woot!
I actually like the wires but wonder about the placement of the "man".
I'd like to see him moved closer to the train and farther away from the camera... although.... the closeness of the body creates tension so you may want that...
Kudos! |

What an amazing building! Such a great backdrop for a ton of ideas!
I like your concept and also agree with the other comments. Lisa did a good job showing her idea and I'm glad that she's inspired you!
Looking forward to more of your work! |

Merry Christmas Henry!
I always love seeing your altered flowers and this one doesn't disappoint.
I agree that the stem would be more pleasing as one instead of broken.
I really like the swirl effect.
Keep on experimenting! |

Merry Christmas!
Interesting comments from the others. I agree with what everyone posted.
The main thing for me is that you wanted to give a sense of place and the feeling of backpacking. This image, as it stands, seems to be fighting itself because of all the different elements you've put together. It lacks a sense of cohesion for me. The color differences, the elements that fight for my attention.
I think your choices might be to crop the image so that the eye goes right to where you want it to land first. I'd take the egret out and put in another bird or animal that fits in that forest... in a less prominent place.
And I'd make it perhaps, a harmonizing color to bring the entire image together.
As always, your mileage may vary! Kudos on your creativity!

The straightness of the walkway really obscured the wheelchair, unfortunately. I have another shot of them in 3/4 profile but then it would have been impossible to get them going through that particular arch, lol!
I think you may be right about trying a lower opacity for the bridge so there's a "suggestion" of a bridge.

How lucky you are to have grandchildren who are willing to pose for you!! She's lovely!
I like the concept and the sepia tone.
To me, I think she's a big too large for the entire scene and would make her a bit smaller. The area she seems to be standing in is very blurred and she's a bit too sharp for my eye.
But all this is kinda nit picky so just giving you a couple of things to think about. |

Merry Christmas Maria!
I love the color palette you created in this image.
Thinking that this is fantasy and that you can do any old thing you'd like to it, I still would like the lighthouse anchored to some type of rock in the bottom left.
But other than that, very creative and lovely! |

Aavo,
I agree with what has been written so far. A powerful statement on loneliness.
The bottle and the flowers don't add value to your photo but since this is a compositing group, I can appreciate your attempt.
If you still want to composite this, maybe adding a young couple walking arm in arm away from her in the black area? |

Merry Christmas Peggy!
I love this image and your creativity!
One of the best parts is reading everyone's thoughts and reactions to your image. It lends itself to many interpretations and that makes it magical.
I agree that the bird isn't really needed and the original is perfect! |
