Love this Jan!! Super idea!
I can see all kinds of fun uses for these pillars and you given me some ideas!
I'm only wondering about the different light on all the models faces. I would love to see just a bit more work on having a definitive light source (moon?) and then shading accordingly.

Jim,
I like your creativity on this image. The angles that you set the window with the striking treatment of your model are very compelling! |

Hi Maryellen
Very colorful!
Can you share a bit more detail about your image? Perhaps what your creative juices were telling you to do, why you made the choices and how you created it.
Thanks! |

Henry, beautiful image!
I agree with all of Brads suggestions and really have nothing to add other than if you only do one thing, to me, it will help if you just extend the stem of the flower in Original number one to extend out of the photo instead of the tight cut. |

Thanks for your comments Brad!
I agree with you about the placement and size of the ladies on the left.
They're way too big... I'll definitely be playing around more with this one! |

Thanks for visiting our group and for your comment Jim. Yes, you're right, it does look like an illustration but since this is a "creative" group, the usual photographic styles and rules don't apply.
All my compositing is done in Photoshop with help from Topaz Studio. There are lots of tutorials on YouTube if you're interested. |

Brad, I like your concept very much!
For me, the Original No 3 is my favorite. I like the full frontal of the monkey and the potential for him starting to run away from the fire.
I took the liberty of making a few suggested changes. One is to increase the fire glow on the monkey so added a bit of light and color to his eyes and fur.
Secondly, I added a bit of shadow behind him since that's what you'd expect in this situation unless there's a full moon somewhere creating lots of light.
And lastly, I added a bit of dark vignetting to the top to help the eye stay in the photo because, to my eye, the blue is so intense and fighting with the focus of the monkey/fire. |
