Yolanda, I like both your original images and am wondering what story you want to tell with this composite?
Your title, Sedona spirit, would suggest that this is a "spirit dancer" watching over Sedona. If that's the case, I would like to see the mountains more misty and the image a bit more "magical".
The hard lines and bright colors of Sedona could be softened to reflect your intent.

Wow, if I hadn't seen the original photos, I wouldn't have a clue how you did this!!
So very cool! |

Love your creativity with two pretty mundane and uninteresting elements!
You took this to another level with your experimentation. Peter looks like he's expecting a visitor and just chillin'.
The only suggestion I can think of is that the empty area to his left needs something to tie the story together. Right now it's competing for attention because it's so bright and Peter is dark.
Great work, keep playing!

What a fun and compelling composite, Brad!
I love your choices and positioning of the elements to keep us in the picture and the moment! |

Isn't that the way it happens sometimes? Glad you say that too and it's not just me 😉 |

Such an interesting and compelling treatment for the original photo. I really like the changes that you made and applaud you for your vision to make it so much better and more dramatic!
Intensifying the oranges and yellows was perfect! |

Super creative approach to this otherwise "nice" photo of Zebras!
I agree with Cyril that the yellow does pull my eye but I really like the yellow...so the dilemma is how to refocus on the zebras while keeping that wonderful rich color...
On the other hand, I find the water effect too distracting and would like to see that softened and blurred more.

Good luck with your competition! By now you should know how it did? Please let us know.
I'm so impressed by all the steps you took to make this beautiful painting come alive! I love the colors and the movement in the background!
As far as the square goes, I actually like a bit of graphic added to scenes to lead the viewer where you want them to go. My only comment on this one is that I could see it wider and more transparent so that it doesn't seem so abrupt a "stopl. |

Such a nice treatment for a challenging scene!
I like the warmer tone you used for the mountain and the very painterly sky.
Thanks for the preview as I plan to be there at the end of September. I'll be more aware of the areas challenges. |

What a lovely portrait and a beautiful scene. Your painting technique helped make this the atmosphere even more mystical and appealing.
I wonder about your choice to make the blanket brighter than her face? I assume that was a creative decision? |
