13 Nov 17 Reply Thanks Pat! Luckily, this was a sunset and not a sunrise even though the title was "Night into Day". I have gotten up early to catch some beautiful skies but not often...brrrr! Nov 15th
13 Nov 17 Reply Thanks Barbara! This location is about a 5 hour drive from where I live so not too local. It's quite a beautiful area in the Sierra Mountains called Mammoth Lakes.
If you ever get a chance to drive down Highway 395 in California, it's a definite must see and stay for a while.

13 Nov 17 Comment Lovely autumn photo... definitely representative of change!

13 Nov 17 Comment Nice idea! Good saturation of colors and nice change from plant to flower as well as sharp to blurred.
I think it would have been nice to vignette a bit more on the sides to lead the eye down the center of the picture.

13 Nov 17 Comment Great idea! And such a cute subject.
If they are commenting on "technical", you may get some critique as the "replacement" is obvious and can use some work.

Let us know how you do at the club.

50 Nov 17 Reply Thanks Cindy! I like what you've done. In the original, I did darken the foreground rocks and add a vignette... but really just a touch. I like the added drama and impact of your "touch"! Nov 16th
50 Nov 17 Reply Hah hah...thanks! Quick and dirty.
And yes, need those clouds! I'm always ready with a cheering section!

50 Nov 17 Reply Thanks Jeffrey.
Yes, I agree... some clouds would have helped that day. Unfortunately for us... just a boring blue, lol!
But here's a new view with some clouds added for you.

50 Nov 17 Comment Full of character and texture! A great portrait! Nov 9th
50 Nov 17 Comment Beautiful!
Even when you clone, you do it in such an artistic manner that it doesn't show the clone!
You are very talented!

50 Nov 17 Comment Lots going on here. Any one of these elements would be interesting. The light on her face is beautiful.

It would be nice to see this picture simplified with a blurring of the background so that the focus is truly on her illuminated face.

50 Nov 17 Comment How fun is this!!
Great use of a fisheye lens. I like everything about this picture!

50 Nov 17 Comment Love what you did with this photo in post!

The conversion really works to bring out the texture and character of his face. I don't miss the green at all.

50 Nov 17 Comment I always like architectural photos in mono. Nice lines and contrast here. I like your composition with the broad river leading up to the buildings and framed by the bridges.
The one thing I'm missing is the sky. It looks like you have some nice clouds in the color version and I would like to see them in the mono.
