Very very different than the original. It really made me want to sit up and look closer.
Any particular goal or reason why you chose this treatment?
I know you wanted to explore solarization but what do you want the viewer to understand from the photo? My first guess would be to give a feel of timelessness and old Linotype technique.

You're really doing some beautiful still life.
No suggestions because you're always technically amazing! |

Fun subject and great sculpted face on your model. Nice catch lights in her eyes!
I generally love bokeh but agree that it detracts from your main focus. |

Add me to the list of color lovers!
In the color version, the leaf is the "star". But in the mono, it doesn't look special and gets lost in all the activity produced by the water and sticks. |

Nice capture of a beautiful sky over a wonderfully textured scene.
Cindy: I like your flip but don't understand why this works better (it does) |

Interesting subject and texture.
I agree with Cindy about the horizon line and adding depth to the photo.

Thanks for the feedback all! I'm including the original picture (which I should have orginally) to show you what the barn looked like before conversion to Mono.
The black trapezoid is an opening over the doors in the barn. Good evidence that I need to lighten the front of the barn so you can see the detail inside. |

Looks like a great trip to see the wild horses.
I can't add anything more than what Cyril wrote.
Lovely! |

I like the "Candyland" effect that you've achieved in this picture.
Topaz Glow is very fun and offers all kinds of options. I like playing around with it too!
I agree that it doesn't look very Swiss but that's not important because it's a fun interpretation of the original. |

This is a nice enhancement on the original picture! While the original is a good solid record of what you saw, this painting takes the most important features and really makes them POP out.
Love the texture you choose for this! |
