Judy, I use LRcc and On1 Raw for my processing. On this image I did very little other than reduce the highlights and bump the shadows in LR and add Dynamic Contrast in On1. It is back-lit as I took it in the afternoon. |

Judy and Christine,
As usual I was in a hurry when I sent the image to Lamar to post. He added it to the gallery and sent me a note commenting on the unique look of the bottom of the image.
I did not notice the apparent mirroring at the bottom of the image and have no idea how it occurred. I will examine the original to see if I can find out what happened. |

An exceptionally well captured image with the surf line and line of foam leading me into and through the image. |

Pierre I am going up the Oregon coast in June and hope to capture many similar images. I would crop in from the right side to place the large rock in the upper right third of the image and use the adjustment brush in Lightroom to slightly lighten the rock to focus the eye on it. Then, to me, everything leads me from the right to left, past the rock and into the image. |

It sounds to me you like the image. Isn't that what we want when we press the shutter? As it appears here I like the colors. To me they show what you wanted, the golden hour. I, also, struggle,to get the same image posted here that I have in Lightroom.

A good example of why I need to slow down when considering a image. Interesting solution to a planned image gone awry. Nicely done. |

Well done. I love the composition, colors, framing, everything. I would hang this one. |
