Hi Alane,
Thanks for the comment. I added a very slight vignette, but maybe it should have been a little stronger. |

Thanks for these comments. I agree that darkening the background could be helpful in bringing out the subject. My problem is that one need to over expose a little to obtain white snow (instead of "blueish" snow). I did not have to perform any cleanup around the bird. I was just patient for the bird to get where I wanted to be! |

Interesting subject and composition. I agree with Charles: the locks are were too blue/green to my taste. I prefer his tone adjustment.
Very nice. |

Very interesting capture. Nice association of colors and textures. Everything is sharp.
Somewhat half way between abstract and creative.

Welcome to our group.
Very nice start! Lovely. Nice heart shape made with the fumes - subliminal message. I did not see anything in the ice cubes....
I would have liked the right bottle to better lit (could be done in post processing).
I would like to know how you achieve this composition. Sometime we use 1 or 2 accessory images to illustrate the set-up. |

Hi Diane,
This is a difficult scene. It is difficult to examine/find the subject.
I agree with the above comments.
I took the liberty to do very easy global edits: decrease highlights, Decrease the shadows, and add a very mild vignette. Not perfect, but I believe that it is helping in seeing the vegetation and the mountain. |

Hi Jaswant,
Nice capture and funny tuffed ears! I would only suggest bringing up the subject a little by either increasing selectively its exposure, or decreasing the shadows.
Lovely expression.
Well done.

Hi Jacob, Nice capture. I agree with the above comments. I agree that "eye" level is optimal, but, in this case the brilliant foreground from the rock is very distracting. A capture from a little bit higher would have solved this problem. I general, backlit images are difficult to work with. Much easier to work with a low side light or light behind the photographer.
I took the liberty of decreasing the exposure for the background and foreground, decreasing the "shadows" on the subject and adding a little vignette. Not perfect, but just to provide for discussion. |

Very nice "abstract" image of grass. This capture can also be easily used as a cheerful background if needed.
Well done. - No suggestion. |

Hi Cindy,
Very nice capture. Lovely colors and catch light.
It is always difficult to capture an animal that is backlit.
Overexposing a little can help bringing these details, but one needs to be carefull of not "blowing" the whites. I felt that there was a lack of details in the dark zones.
I took the liberty of trying some edits: increase contrast, decrease highlights, decrease shadows and a slight vignette. I also cropped your duck in the middle third of the image.

Tender moment with beautiful lighting. Non compeeting background - good crop - Great gaze of the Right Jackal with light catching its eyes.
Great image - No suggestion for improvement.
Another keeper! |

I left a comment a few days ago, but now it is gone! Glitch in the system?
Lovely drone image. Nice scenery. I would crop the right side a bit as it is darker and does not add much to the small peninsula. |

Very nice. Strong lines with the horizon and the fence providing for great depth. Nice contrast between the Red Rocks and the blue sky (with clouds).
Well done. No suggestion for improvement. |

Wow....Very nicely done. Despite the brightness of the liquid nickel, you were able to keep a very nice and colorful cloudy sky.
Very well done - No suggestion for improvement. |

Very interesting scene. I was certainly not aware of this water source.
I find the image a little confusing. I am assuming that this is a straight down pick using the drone.
Can almost qualify for an abstract image without the explanation. Thanks for sharing.
No suggestion.
Well done. |

Hi Scott,
Great subject for B/W conversion - Strong lines and alternating patterns.
On my screen, I realized that several large sections of your image were completely "black". Ideally, in a B/W image, one needs to avoid completely "white" and completely "black" area, or just a touch. With photo programs, the detection of these areas is fairly easy. I tried to touch it up by decreasing the "shadows" and "blacks" to avoid these area. |
