The color palette was mainly what attracted me. Unfortunately, as mentioned, this was in the middle of a bright day, making it difficult to control the brightness of the background. |

Wow...This leopard looks pretty close. Very nice "eye level" shot. One can almost feel it's breath!
A keeper. No improvement suggestion. |

Hi Jacob,
Nice bird and composition. I agree with the previous comments. I tried to add some "pop" + added a soft vignette.
Keep on the good work. |

Fantastic image. Certainly tells a story. I agree also with a slight vignette.
Another keeper! |

Hi Kirk,
Thanks for the comment. I had to compromise! I did not want to increase my ISO too much (I find that the micro 4/3 sensor gets very noisy at higher ISO) but was able to keep my f stop at 13 and speed at 1/50 sec. I think that there are some motion artefacts due to the slight breeze due to the slow shutter speed as the branches are fairly sharp. |

Thanks for sending me a larger file. I was able to upload it (took me a few trials...).
I believe that Kirk was able to make it even more sharp using Topaz.

Very nice submission. Great light control without artifact line between the arch and the sky. Nice depth and directing lines.
I do not mind the small bush on the bottom right.
Well done. |

Impressive improvements between the original and the post-processed image.
I like the cropping, the position, and brightness of the hot air balloon, as well as the alternances between the light and shadows of all the hills/mountains underneath.
Great image. Good luck with the competition. |

Great image. No wonder why this pass is feared.
I am assuming that you crossed this river successfully before taking this image, unless you used a drone.
This image certainly tells a story and pay tribute to the roughness of Western Australia.
p.s. One needs a waterproof engine and cabin with a "water" snorkel to attempt this crossing. In the USA, most of the snorkels on off-road trucks are "sand" snorkels and would not be sufficient for this road! |

Very nice composition and lines. The contrast between White and Black is quite significant. Did you consider bracketing your shot?
I decided to work on it a bit by decreasing the highlights and opening up the shadows. Just a suggestion. |

This is a very nice image. The perspective is good. Great mood. The moon's location, partly covered by the clouds, is a big "plus".
The buildings are not perfectly sharp, but I believe this is, at least in part, due to the low definition of the image (only 82 kb). PSA accepts images up to 1 Mb. If your original image was much bigger, please send it to me and I will try to bring it closer to 1 mb. |
