Hi Ken,
I find that cropping can be very difficult and also very personal.
Looking at these 2 animals, I felt that the panache of the left one should be preserve to accentuate the contrast between the 2 adversaries. Please find attached my cropping suggestion. I would have liked a bit more room on the top. |

Great capture. As mentioned in your earlier submissions, the selection of the "perfect" flower is crucial as well as trying to have your lens parallel to the area you want to be in focus. You nailed it on both fronts this time.
It is so nice to see your progression. You should review your submissions when you joined this group. Simply "WOW".

Fantastic capture. Good cropping.
I love a backlit image. The exposure selection can be tricky but it looks adequate. Maybe applying a little less "shadow" selectively on the head and neck of the bird might help - but I am being picky. |

I had multiple captures with various wing positions. I found this one more pleasing than the others. A high shutter speed helps, but then, one needs to be ruthless during the selection process! |

Your patience paid off. All is sharp except for the motion blur of the wings, even at that speed. This adds to the action. Furthermore, you captured the water motion caused by the flapping of the wings!
Holding the camera for a prolonged period of time, especially with a heavy lens can be pretty tiring (my left arm is not as strong as it used to be!). I like the use of the monopod in these situations, as it offers more flexibility than a tripod.
Great capture. Well done! |

Great capture. 33 MP really helps with cropping, as long as there is no motion blur and the focus is tack sharp. They have quite a big beak considering the size of their bodies at that age! Bad hairdo!

I believe that the water texture came partly from the combo of the 2 images. |

The best camera to take an image is the one you carry on you, as long as it is working!
It is pretty amazing to be able to capture this scene with so many details using a cell phone!
At first, I felt that your image was badly slanted but the only other reference point is the tree on the right side which appears to be perfectly oriented. So.... all these peaks are slanted!
This is a must-place to visit on my bucket list!

This is a very nice image that is telling a story. I am not sure if this couple (I presume) is arguing about something. The water must be warm as the man is barefooted!
Nice composition and cropping. Good directing lines with the rail and the fall. The image is slightly tilted (right side is lower than the left). I took the liberty of correcting this slight issue.

I agree with Terina. Nice capture.
I would have preferred to have the horizon line straightened, I realized that you would have lost a significant portion of your image by doing so. Do you have other images where the view of the mine was not so tight? |

Lovely image. The 2 humans on the dock are adding to the story. Although I like to have birds if possible, in this case, I found that the motion blur and the location of the birds a little distracting. I would erase them as the main focus is on the right with the light piercing through the tree tops. the humans on the dock and reflecting light on the water. |

Hi Terina,
Thanks for the kind comments. It would be nice to have some control on the clouds with sunsets and sunrises!
