Very nice image. Wonderful capture.
To my understanding, one can't use any vignette nor delete any portion of the cropped image.
Depending on the rules, some will allow "zoo" images as long as it is specified.
I would slightly increase the exposure of the whole image, and probably decrease the shadows a tad.

Hi Jacob,
Always improving. Nice work. By being parallel to the petals of the orchid, you were able to keep it all in focus.
As the f/stop on an iPhone is pretty high, you have a significant depth of field, allowing the protruding center of the flowers to be in focus at the same time as the petals.
I agree with some darkening of the left top corner, but I would also like to lighten the orchids themselves.
Great work. |

Lovely horse backlit during the "orange" hour.
I would have liked to keep some of the water and a bit more room in the front of the horse. I believe that the image is slightly slanted.
I took the liberty of slightly modifying the cropping and straightening the horizon line. |

Very nice capture of a Cardinal. Slight motion blur on the tip of the wing making it "live". Nice and sharp body.
I might have slightly decreased the shadows.
Great. |

Lovely image. The position of the sun between the 2 Cormorants and the clouds in the horizon are balancing this image perfectly. I also like the cropping applied.
Another keeper! |

I also took the liberty to work with the B/W version. I found yours too dark, although it really shows the texture of the rocks by the falls. Here is what I came with: |

This is a beautiful fall. I have the tendency to include the upper and lower portion of a fall, but this is not always possible.
Due to the variation in colors, I would be inclined to treat it as a color image. I took the liberty to tweak your original image by increasing the contrast, saturation, and haze. I also added a subtle vignette. |

Thanks Dean. This Egret was perched high up and, all of a sudden, became backlit. I was at the right spot, at the right time and with the right equipment! |

Beautiful cityscape. Nice mirror reflections of the city lights. You were right in the "blue" hour which is the best time to get these images. Nice directing lines and perspective.
This is a keeper. |

Hi Kathryn,
Very nice image of a Stave Church. The cemetery an lush scenery are offering very nice complements to the church (certainly puts the church in its context). The peaking light on the lush scenery are providing nice contrasts throughout the image.
I can certainly appreciate that the church was likely very dark due to the clouds, still, I would probably try to selectively decrease of the "shadows" over it a tad.
Another country that I need to put on my "bucket list"!
Nicely done.

Really nice image. Very nice pastel colors. Long exposures are a good way to "erase" people from an image, even in architectural photography.
"Rule of 1/3rd" applied properly, especially that the sky and clouds were interesting at the uppermost portion of your image.
The only suggestion I would offer, although it needs to be planned ahead, is to add a quick exposure with birds flying nearby in the sky.
This is another "keeper" Terina!

Very nice. Nice mirror image in the pond. Sharp, strong color contrast, does not appears oversaturated, good light plays with bright and shadowy areas. I like the cropping with the intersection of the image and its reflection pretty much halfway.
In essence, I would put it in my living room!
Well done Kirk. |

Very nicely done Geoff. Did you take these 2 images during a single session without moving your tripod (the Rock with some residual daylight and the sky hours later)?
I like the reddish tone of your image by the Rock even though the upper portion of your image is more likely the proper tone for the night sky. Is this due to the superposition of the 2 images? |

Very nice scenery. Not easy to get a good landscape image while being in a moving bus!
I like the corrections made from your original to your final result. I also agree with Kirk that a tighter crop is more effective.
Cropping remains for me a big puzzle. Each image can be cropped in multiple ways. I took the liberty of trying a different crop + decreasing the shadows a tad. |

Hi Kirk,
Thanks for your comments. With the correct exposure to the sun in the center of the image, the foreground would have been completely dark without bracketing. I tried to recreate what I saw that morning, but agree with you that the foreground could be even brighter. |
