Tip: In many applications (Word, etc....) cropping an image can cause distortion if it is done from one of the side bars (top, bottom or side). Using one of the corner will avoid distortion. This is not an issue seen in photography program (LightRoom, ON1, etc...). |

Very nice. Excellent depth of field with good focus from front to back of this flower. Was this picture from your iPhone?
I agree with previous comments: This is your best submission! |

I would leave more room on the right lower corner as the squirrel is looking there.
Here we go:
It could be also tighter on the animal, but this is just the way I see it (also respecting the 1/3 rules with the squirrel over the left third line). |

Great catch! Impressive that you could get good sharpness on both butterflies at the same time! Maybe darkening a bit the background would help to isolate these insects better.

Really nice. Good light, crisp, plenty of details and great pose. I agree with Brenda that it would be nice to have a bit more room on the right side (in the direction of the animal gaze).
Lovely capture. |

Hi Geoff,
Don't mess with me is the message of his eagle! Great capture, nice blurred and non-competing background, very sharp and fantastic feather texture. Great image. Keep on the good work.

Hi Brenda. This is a fantastic image. So crisp, so many details, great color palette. Just amazing. Probably your best image on PSA yet. Congrats! |

This is what I understand by the "pre-visualization" of Ansel Adams. |

OK: More details:
I was on a hiking trail mainly directing my attention to birds around me (hence a zoom lens with a full-frame equivalent focal length of 200 to 800mm). Unfortunately, not much wildlife around! Through an opening between some tree branches, I saw this "ghostly" field fairly far away. It was cold and very hazy. I liked the overall mood/tone of the scene, the directing lines, and the overall hazy appearance of the trees and field. At 200mm equivalent, I was able to isolate this field from my immediate surrounding and focus on this scene. With this mirrorless camera (Olympus - but true with most mirrorless cameras), it is very easy to get accents on the areas in focus. In this case, at an f stop of 7.1, everything on my field of view was in focus, allowing me to increase my shutter speed (handheld) without increasing my ISO too much (I found the micro 4/3 sensor to be quite noisy at high ISO). RAW capture but minimal cropping (if any) in post-processing as I prefer to "frame" in-camera as perfectly as possible (Keeping most pixels!). I also try to expose to the right of the histogram (I use the color histogram in the viewer) without clipping - my EV was at O. |

Majestic! I love your image. Great details, texture, mood, directing lines. Represent quite nicely this naturally "moody" landscape. I would suggest to decrease the shadows a bit. |

Wow.... This is such a great image. The upper 2/3 is really interesting with the haze, sunrays, mirror image in the pond, contrast with non-hazy foreground, humans for relative scale, and great lines.
The bottom portion of the image is also very interesting and quite the contrast with the upper portion. This lower portion is more about textures.
I would personally consider making 2 separate images by cropping the lower 1/3 for the first image (as this textured area does not add much to the upper 2/3rd). The lower 1/3 could easily be submitted in a texture/abstract image on its own (with or without B/W conversion).

Beautiful and eery! Thank goodness for Fog Horn, radars, and GPS locators... At least, she is coming out of that fog.
I love it. Very nice filtered light from the right side. The operator on the deck helps in providing relative dimensions. |

Nice little cottage! Excellent capture enhanced by the mirror reflection in the pond. To my eye, the image appeared slightly tilted to the bottom right (just being very picky!).
Lovely image - elegant country feeling. Great work. |

Nicely captured and processed. A slight increase in contrast and/or saturation, as well as a slight "dehaze", could give it more of a "punch" but it is all a question of taste!
Looking forward to see more of your images. |
