I looked at it again.... maybe my impression is due to the very sharp contrast between the mother's head central portion and the bright edge.
Nice capture. |

I love it. This image clearly tells a story. Nice framing.
The only thing that bother me, but it could be due to my screen, I that the image appeared a little "over sharpened". |

Hi Brenda,
I agree with the above comments. This heron is quite the acrobat!
Your image would have greatly gained by having the full leg and foot (toes), but your angle of view did not allow you to do so without showing the post.
An alternative, as suggested by Mervyn, would be to crop higher on the leg. I also agree with Candy, that the same image on a branch would be wonderful.
Good work! |

Very nice high key image. I love the simplicity. I agree with the previous comments.
I think that to reinforce that it was very foggy, I would put a graduated filter on the bottom half of the image and increase the "Haze" on the bottom half. Just a suggestion.
Very well done. |

Yes Dean,
As mentioned in the previous comments, these are White Ibis.
I personally like to take bird photography, if possible, with a clear foreground and a far away background (also if possible) (These birds unfortunately will not follow your directions on how to pose for you!). I find it very difficult to clear the foreground without leaving any "trace". |

Wonderful image, especially considering that you were on a boat. It looks like mom and "junior" are expecting dad anytime with another fish! |

Speed: this fox did not move very fast at that point in time. Mirrorless camera do offer stabilization of the sensor that can be combined with the lens stabilization. I was using a monopod. This was early morning, dim light, and I did not want to crank up too much my iso.
Cropping: yes - a lot of cropping. This fox was very far away. Even at 800 mm this fox was still small. 45 MP was very helpful!
Thanks for your comments Brenda |

I love it! Nice not to have too many distractions.
Although architectural imaging is normally completely symmetrical, I personally like the slight angle of view. One could argue on weather to keep or to remove the birds on the right side of the dome and the small "black" dots on the left side of the sky.
Very nice details and textures.
Well done. |

Very moody and lush. Nice light on the path to somewhere and "Bambi" not sure to continue on or not! Great composition. This image keeps my attention any my desire to know more - tells a story.
Any Leprechaun in the area? |

Nice moody image with the steam lit by the sunlight. I agree with the shadow lightning proposed by Stephen. No other suggestion. |
