I love all the colors of this bird. What a blend. Tack sharp focus + very well preserved texture.
I would be really interesting to know more about the equipment used and the settings.
Fantastic. |

Very nice. The texture of his fur is perfect and the slight blur of his front right paw (even at 1/1000!) revealing the very quick moves.
I liked like this. To be picky and as you ask, the only improvement, if possible, would be to crop a little tighter on the right and decrease the crop on the left and bottom. |

Nice shot. I am quite surprised of your depth of field for 300mm at f/5. Can you give us more details - full sensor or cropped sensor or other? If you can, I think that leaving a bit more room in the front of the bird would be great.
I like it. Nice textures and nicely blurred background.
Great job!

Wow.... Really nice depth of field for f/9. I am assuming that you were at the lower range of your zoom lens. As you were using a Micro 4/3, this was probably equivalent full frame to 25 mm f/18!
The contrast in texture between the tree and the mushroom is quite impressive.
Very nice work. |

These looks like Northern Leopard Frog (Lithobates pipiens). Nice capture. The water diffraction makes it a bit more challenging to focus! I liked it. Nice job.

Wonderful capture. We have the Red Bellied Wood Peckers in Western New York. I agree with the comments above. Nicely cropped.

Hi Dean,
These mountain goats were eating by a small lake at the foot of steep hills. This was close to Breckenridge - the elevation by this lake was probably 10,000 feet. This "Blue Lakes Trail" is known to have mountain goats. The first time I was there, I did not see any. This time, there was probably 10 around. |

I agree. Unfortunately they were very close to me and I had to back-up to take this picture on the wider end of this zoom (100 mm - or 200 mm equivalent full frame). I did not do any lateral cropping! |

Wind and slow exposures (down to 1/10 sec - hand held) are responsible for this blur. I find that windy conditions is the main factor in preventing nice bracketing. (One could increase the ISO to keep the shutter speed higher but I still have problem controlling windy conditions). I wish I could go to Hogwards to learn that skill! |

Just lovely. I can hear Beethoven's 6 Symphony just looking at it (Pastorale).
I agree with all previous comments. Did you apply the lens correction? I agree with Frans that the horizon is slightly bowed (After all, the earth is not flat!).
Wonderful! |

Beautiful colors, shadowed and light areas caused by the clouds and peaks. I really like it. I would have liked a little more sky on the right side over the mountains but this is a minor detail. As you mentioned, you already put your camera on a vertical mode to allow more height to your pano.
Great work. |

I really like this photography. To be there at the right time is key. I think that I like the sky a little less saturated as suggested by Glen. Keep on the good work. |

Beautiful. You did not mentioned if you bracket your capture. Regardless, you avoided nicely the overexposure while preserving details in the shadowy area.
Considering how many tourists surrounded you, except for a very small view of the boardwalk and a few tourists you were able to frame your capture very nicely.
Congrats. |

Beautiful! I love the huge depth of field (thanks to the very white angle lens), the sky reflection on the white canoe and the very strong guiding lines.
Nice balance of colors that appear natural to me.
Wonderful! |

Hi Donna,
Very nice capture of a female ruby throated hummingbird right before reaching he feeder. Nice details and the shadows are not overwhelming. You were able to "freeze" her wing movements at this fast shutter speed.
As you mentioned, it takes patience to get a shot like this one. Would have been great not to have a feeder....
Congrats! |

Very nice. I love the mood provided by all the earthy colors. On top of this, you have a magnificent feline sharing similar colors and completely relaxed (after a long day?). There is a story revealed by this capture. I agree that the branch just on the edge of her back is somewhat distracting but removing it is not allowed on this forum and on most of nature competition.
Wonderful. Congratulations! |
