67 May 18 Comment Chat marabout! J'aime beaucoup son expression. Il semble avoir une légère blépharite. J'ai retouché ses sécrétions. May 20th
67 May 18 Comment J'aime bien.

67 May 18 Comment Interessant. Beaucoup d'options. J'aime bien l'original. Je me suis amusé à modifier l'effet. May 20th
67 May 18 Comment Bien réussi. J'aime bien votre cadrage.

May 20th
67 May 18 Reply J'apprécie ces commentaires constructifs. May 11th

70 May 18 Comment Hi Kathryn. I love your shot!
You had a problem with noise... even though, you dialed your ISO at 100.
From my understanding, Nikon camera sensors are working at their best (native ISO) at 160. I can't confirm this myself as I am not a Nikon shooter. (100 works well on Canon) Your picture looks pretty sharp to me.
Other sources of image deterioration could come from the vibration transmitted through your tripod from the traffic, from tripod shake from the wind (especially if your stretch up the center column or from a very light tripod).
How to avoid this?
1) Sturdy tripod
2) use the tripod with only the larger segments of the legs (low down) + possibly spreading the legs to increase the base.
3) avoid using the central column as it will magnify any vibration caused by the wind or the traffic
4) Move out of the road (safer) but use a longer focal length.
Cheers and keep up with this great work!

70 May 18 Comment I simply love it. Very similar sceneries in upper New England (USA) and the maritimes in Canada.
I would not change a thing!

70 May 18 Comment Very nice. I did some very minor adjustments: cropped a little from the bottom, slightly hazed the clouds and sky as well very slight modification of the horizon line. I agree with Judy: I would have love to see a grazing animal or someone walking towards the forest (especially with a bright color jacket and/or a cowboy hat!). May 20th
70 May 18 Comment Wonderful colors and drama. I agree with Frans. I did a slight correction of the horizon angle and cropped at the bottom to bring it closer to the middle.
Really nice light!
