J'aime bien l'effet global. Personellement, j'aimerais d'avantage en couleur mais le ciel couvert est probablement responsable de l'atmosphère.

J'aime bien le résultat. Trés artistique - semble à demi photographique - demi peinture. Excellent travail utilisant Photoshop.
Bravo! |

Hi Rob,
No, unfortunately I have not seen the Barrow's Goldeneye. If you are interested I have posted a male Long Tail Duck on PSA group 67. |

The smaller the bird, the faster they move, the more they hide.... all factors making these guys difficult to capture. At the same time a good capture is very memorable.
Great job in catching it. |

Nice capture. It would be very nice to have more information such as equipment used, tripod or not, treatment done to the image, etc... |

Nice capture. Her neck is fairly dark brown instead of the light brown that I expect, but this because she is wet. It looks like that she also has mating colors around her eyes.
Interesting behavior!

Great job at hand holding. 1.6 sec!
Smooth water effect.
I agree with Donna that the image is a bit flat.
Without a tripod, one could try the following: Camera stabilized on a solid surface - mirror lock/timed shutter release (minimal 2 sec) - hope for the absence of any wind (looking at the leafs in the foreground, there was not much wind at that time.

Nicely captured moment. Good exposure and sharp details. No wonder these birds were hunted for their feathers!
Great! |

I am traveling and can't get to my original files from here. If I need to bracket due to light range, I normally bracket 3 captures at -1.66/0/+1.66 with the slower shutter speed at no less than 1/60 sec. On Canon, in the setting is for High speed shooting, there would be an automatic 3 quick shots for a 3 pick set up. Depending on lighting conditions, I frequently slide the selection so the "0" could be -1 or so. Once in Lightroom, I check the histograms when selecting 1, 2 or all 3 pictures. I will use a bracket of 5 pictures very rarely (extreme Bright and dark zones). |

Hi Frans, Welcome to PSA 70!
What a lovely capture. Nice lines, love the bright clothing colors, the little shed and even the wood bridges over the irrigation channels! The only improvement would be to reduce the cropping on the bottom and right side of the image (if possible) to get the full length of the palm trees.
Beautiful! Looking forward to see more of your pictures. |

Very nice. I love the cold air - very clean! Nice gradations of aqua tones in the glaciers. I like the crop suggested by Glen. Maybe a little brighter?
Just beautiful - Brings me back memories from Labrador (Canada) and Greenland. |

I love the energy and the color palette displayed in this wave collision. Nice catch of light!
I am not sure about the island. Either increasing the f-stop to capture everything in focus, or decrease the f-stop to completely blur the land.

Very moody scene. I am not sure why the ASO and speed were so high. This high ASO can certainly affect the quality of the capture. Usually, 1/60 sec should be fine at that focal distance.
For me, the focus is more the arched trees over the road. I took the liberty of cropping it. It would be better to perform this on the original file!

Very nice final result - very serene - relaxing. I believe that the adjustments are fine. I frequently ask myself the same questions. I think that my best judge is my spouse! Another way to decide is to do a large print and look at it on/off for several days and then decide!
Love it! |
