Very nice grooves with texture as well as a dance between light and shadows. The limited color range made me try a B/W conversion. I also increased the contrast. Here is the result.
Nice capture! |

You set a very nice mood with very progressive light and color gradation. I am not sure that I totally like the violet filter. It would be nice to see the original for comparison. This color certainly adds to the mood and probably would bring the final image into the creative category.

Just beautiful! I really like the dark background that brings our attention to the beautiful colors and texture of the iguana.
Thanks for sharing the original capture. |

Really nice color palette with the flowers, sky, clouds, mountains. Nice overall "V" between the mountains. Just beautiful!
My only suggestion, due to the very soft focus in the foreground, would have been to drastically increase the f-stop (22 or higher) and to focus at approximately 1/3rd of the field (to get the hyperfocal length). I find very helpful in a similar situation to use the Dept of Field button. |

Very nice. I agree with the tighter cropping from the bottom. Nice light. Nice capture of the water drops and the small fish in his beak immobilized at 1/2000sec. Nice light catch in his left eye.
Beautiful! |

I did not have a tripod but really appreciated my very warm ski pants, snow boots, long ski coat and huge mitts. I also had a pair of gloves inside my mitts for quick shots!
The wind was fairly strong and my cheeks were freezing..... |

I agree with Judy in respect to her comments and suggested cropping. One thing that bothers me is that the professional photographer group is much further away than the cell phone one. It is possible that walking to the right and forward would have help correcting the perspective and creating a better balance between the 2 groups.
Really nice that you saw this interesting contrast.

Hi Lamar,
You are raising good questions: what to include and exclude in the picture. Sometimes, by staying around for a while, one could get the mother and the child looking at one another. Personally, I found that the flying cattle egret distracting and not adding much interest. I really liked the calf observing the walking egrets. Here is a version that I would favor, focussing on the mother, her calf and the walking cattle egrets. I included the other longhorn as cropping it would be rather difficult.
Thank you for starting an interesting conversation. |

Nice landscape in Jupiter! I love the color contrast between the water/rocks and the orange sky and clouds. Very moody water scene and highlights on these rocks. If one wishes to be creative, several moons could be added!

I love it. Very nice combination of morning light, texture in the basalt columns, leading lines and the power of this turbulent water. As you mentioned, this is the kind of shot that one can get with careful planning. I can't see how to make it better.
Wonderful.
