Nice! I love your foreground. To improve the view of the milky way, you could increase your exposure time (might increase star streaks) or increase your ASO. The caviat is that the foreground become more exposed.
I played with your image a bit: Cropped a bit from the bottom and left and applied a neutral density filter to brighten a bit the sky.
Night photography is a field I would like to explore more. You have much better results than me. Congrats! |

Hi Brenda. Very nice capture and treatment. I like both your original and Chuck cropping. I like the monochrome effect but would like to see the original colors in comparison.
Very well done. |

From my point of view, depth of field in macrophotography is an artistic matter. When we look at a flower, everything is in focus as our brain reconstruct the image in our heads. A photographic lens can't do this unless one uses a very high f stop or focus stacking technique. I personally like to use focus stacking technique but this is very tricky in a outdoor setting.
I agree with the above comments. The droplets are very nice. The green leaf is very bright and too much in focus.
I played a bit with your image, flipped vertical, changed the angle, cropped, etc... Here is a possible version: |

I love it! Partial backlighted birds with extended feathers increases the beauty of the plumage. My only suggestion would be possibly cropping just a little more from the bottom left corner. Beautiful! |

I like both color version better than the monochrome. Nice depth of field for a close up and crisp details. Very well done. Congrats! |

Thank you all for these nice comments. I love walking in the woods at this time when nature is waking up. Furthermore, we see migrating birds stopping by in the last few weeks. |

Hi Ed. Nice sky. I love the spiral effect in the middle but find the foreground a bit dark.
I reworked your picture a bit. These are my suggestions: I used a neutral density filter to lighten the bottom, cropped into a 11X14 format, lighten the shadows, etc... Here is my version: |

It is very nice to have a window introducing the subject. In your case, this window is too much out of focus for me. I would suggest to increase the ISO. In doing so, you would be able to get the f much higher and potentially have the buoy and the bridge in focus.
I tried to reframe but unfortunately it is difficult not to get a pixelated result when working with a 1 mb or less picture. Here is my cropping suggestion. If you do the same on the original you will probably have a much nicer rendition. |

Very nice capture! I love the proximal reverse "S" that is echoing in the mid ground with by the bay further north. I like the "feel" of the west coast. Better having a raincoat at all time.... just in case!
I tried a few things on your photo: increase the dehaze, lighten the shadows, increased saturation, etc... to try improving the richness of the colors. Here is my version: |
