Bel effet. Bravo! |

Thanks for all these nice comments. I have several similar pictures. In some of these, the anhinga was completely submerged. I felt that this one with the head out of the water was the one with the best composition. |

Very nice. Although you were using a tripod it looks to me that you were almost at eye level (500 mm helps reducing the angle of view). Very sharp focus. Just beautiful! |

Just beautiful! Love the posture, the far background that does not interfere, the gaze, the perfectly natural setting.... She did not look too hungry! |

I like the partly backlit effect on the feathers. What I find funny is that I have a very similar picture posted on the PSA group 67 this month!(French group). If you want, I can translate it.
Love it! |

Hi Dean. I love these pictures. For me, the one with the church is the best. It looks like the galaxy was reaching the tip of the steeple.
I also need to learn more about night photography.
Great! |

Hi Ed,
I am not sure on how your camera is processing the HDR mode.
Some cameras will do the HDR in camera only in JPG and this could reduce your post-processing capacities.
I use the "bracketing" function. This function allow you to fire a series of pictures in a row with different light intensities (ideally in RAW). I use the exposure time variation. In lightroom you can then combine the 3 or 5 (even 7) pictures together in HDR.
I did a few touch ups: straightening, more of a pano cropping (the upper sky did not have much interest to me), I decreased the highlights and shadows, improved the clarity, minimal increase in saturation and a little bit of dehazing.
Nice lines, moody feeling. Great! |

Very "painterly" and artistic effect. Nice! Do you have a background as an artist? |

I like all the directing lines. The sky is a little moody - was this the original color or did you tweaked it a bit (more purple?).
I use the brush and had some "dehazing" on the mountains in the middle.
I like it! |

Nice composition and use of infrared. This is a field that I want to explore. Considering that there is no movement artefacts, you must have used a converted camera rather than a filter.
I like it. |
