thanks Shirley, good comments for competition. Also, the info re the tags is helpful. Have been wondering about them on many images I have captured at zoos etc. |

Jacksonville Zoo is near the Jax airport. Very nice family-oriented Park. our Photo Club members plans yearly visits.
This photo was taken late January 2021, slightly overcast day.
yes, you can have a copy or print, just email me.
debating if I should remove the tag from the leg? |

maybe the duotone is the best choice. Do try and see what colors you can pull up into the original RAW file before other editing. separate the sky. try luminosity sliders and shifting white balance. do you have photos from sane day that you can replace sky with? |

Love this image. You certainly did capture the lighting and scene that says Christmas in Vienna. "you staged the people just right!" |

Went online to see what the Black Hills of SD looks like. I found a varied assortment. Is the blue haze that strong in spring and summer? I was surprised by the strong contrast from your forefront to the middle and background. You have captured great detail and depth in the mid and background.
Can you go back to LR and your original image and re-edit your sky only. Add a hit of yellow. Even in haze there is sunlight. Look at this image from the web it has three sections. it has too much yellow. yours should have just a hint on the horizon at least. Your sky blue should be just a tad different from the blue haze on the mid-section. |

Overall, the dark contrast, sharpness adds emphasis to the cold. The frozen snow on their backs and frost on the shrub in front contribute to the cold
You caught a glimmer in the eye of the Buffalo. If you lightened it up--a bit too much--in the fur around his eye, can you bring back the color in the fur around his eye somewhat--just keeping the spec of light in his eye. Having spent 8 days shooting in Yellowstone I know how hard it is to catch any definition in their eyes at all. |

Yes my first impression was very interesting. I thought it might be an underwater with the flow of brush strokes. the image color and balance work very well. I didn't catch the monkey, but the red blobs added interest and pulls the eye back into the middle then follows the tilt up to the right. it works. |

Lovely photo. Nice reviews with great input. Did you play with a color version a little to find where the drama in lighting might be strongest? I also like the idea of setting the subject off center if possible. was there some open space on one side or other? |

yes it does work in this cropped view. I took several photos of the duck and liked this view with the extra negative space. Contemplating his reflection. |
