23 Sep 20 Comment first question when did you take this photo. looks like it was before digital and so you had to scan it. As an archival image some minor adjustment like straightening and maybe some repair work if needed. But to keep the image as original as possible. And it hold memories for event taken. You could take a copy and try and put it through major editing if you had a specific project but never change the original(or digital master). It is a cool record of Positano, Italy in (Year).

23 Sep 20 Reply I tried to see if there was something to work with this image. I used a radial highlight over the bird and put the rest of the image in shadow. then suggest a humerous caption would give the image some interest. another option would be to crop in from top and some of the right side.

23 Sep 20 Comment I also have experimented with some of the Topaz filters. I do like the impressionist ones best but have been using cautiously at low level. I like that you took bold strokes.
The green leaves are overpowerering the flower in size. If you duplicate the flower and morph it into a slightly differnt shape and add it to image it may overpower the size of the green. that would be hard to do so maybe try with a different flower and a similar treatment. 		Sep 20th
23 Sep 20 Reply Shirley very neat falls and not having been there I was surprised to here how small it was. I do hope they restore this part of the falls. With the fires close has there been damage to Yosemite NP. Sep 19th

23 Sep 20 Reply Thank you for commensts re my rose. Yes I did take care in getting a distant background when shooting. However I too like everyone needed to address the background somewhat as to color or texture and should I remove some of the lower leaves and crop in closer. How natural to keep the image or add more to artistic effects. Sep 19th
