very nice just a little softer vignette. about 11 or lower on the LTRM low vignette sometimes 6 to 9 in color tone is enough. the two upper corners could be toned down just a tad. mid is about 18 and high is about 24 most dramatic. |

Welcome to our group. Very sharp capture. love the shadow and clarity in the eye and beak. Also the feathers texture is great. put a very slight hint of a vignette using the color choice in LR and not the grey default. You had great opportunity to capture up close. yes Brian's crop on left does help. |

yes too flat. first thought was to darken the framing rocks. or take into photoshop and duplicate layer take one copy an try some filters to change the lighting to give it depth. or simply replace the sky with a slightly more dramatic one.
Serge Rameille on Utube. He does dramatic skies but also shows how to do it quickly. |

Yes I recognized building also and have many shots. This is a very nice isolation for an Architectural images. I am still working to get one that really works for Architectural detail. I get caught up by the color combinations and miss the structure. very nice. |

Reply to all your comments. thanks very much. the image file size was 8256x5504 raw. ISO 100 1/125 sec at f5.6. It was flat grey looking with a hint of something in the sky I took the image into DXO and used detail extraction and two other filters. then into Silver effects to covert to BW. I was concerned I may have over sharpened this image. There is a white spot on the left at the lower edge where water meets land that is a boat near the waterfall. I can zoom in to it in the raw file but not in the tif or jpg file. I wanted to enter into a BW juried show but hesitated and put in a different image. So again thanks for you nice comments. |
