my first comments didn't get posted--my error. but I do like your adjustments in contrast and sharpness and keeping the women's face important to story. |

Yes difficult lighting to capture the expressions et all. You did well to. The additional lighting of the faces and boots as Stephen showed did help somewhat but still needs a little more contrast keeping the faces and boots bright. contrast and clarity with the brush tool in Lightroom could help touch up. Great job sure your photos were well received. |

great capture of Spoonbill in water. Here the Spoonbills nest to have there your at the Alligator Rookery. they hide in the deep branches of the trees and sleep incessantly. very hard to capture great shots. I caught a few young ones yesterday. There was too much shadow. No right capture. I liked the reflection with the leaves in front. it works as foreground for the overall image. I had a 600 mm lens I was trying out and understand how tough it is to capture close up
with long lens. Usually with my 300 lens I am cropping 2 3rds of the image. |

Yes Dave well done a really lovely capture of very whooping Crane in evening light. I am still working to capture a great photo of the Sandhill Cranes that are in my area. Congratulations for having a framed print made definitely and great photo. |

Experimenting by setting the jar in a more shaded spot and shooting plain then adding a flash light or lamp light near by to see different effects.
I enlarged your jar and can see an outline of a finch type bird with his head bent downward. Is that your bird. Nice try. It is always fun to see your entries. |

I too like both images. the couple is dramatic and the silhouette works. I like the color in the dress. One suggestion look at the original file and adjust the white balance to add warmth so the sun and sky and lightly in the water. keep the silhouette and do take out the pier. I also didn't catch the detail in foot not being positioned properly. Once identified however it is noticeable.
the second photo of the girl in air is charming and well captured. |
