I thought this practice had stopped years ago. Sad to see still being practiced. Your photo is well done and does provide documentation of a culture. Share image with archival source or National Geographic archive. Maybe it will challenge them to do a story. |

Yes it does work. the one with the cacti in full view works. lovely soft colors to match the soft focus. |

Yes your staging is well done. Her cheeky smile adds greatly to the mood as does the shadows. Yes the light on her nose could be softened but overall a very nice pose. Great that you have received acceptance to many salons.
Brian's edits are interesting and fun.
Have also been busy trying to edit and submit some images to shows. |

Thank you all for great comments. Yes it was like being in a candy store. I had visited this museum twice before and this time I was able to take more time in taking images I had missed in other visits. The staircase from lower view above.
Yes Brian the deeper blue sky works. I also have several inside and outside. even in the exhibit where allowed. this image was edited in NIK software, an Architectural combination filter of detail, pro contrast and tonal contrast. |

Your blue heron is very sharp-really nice. Yes you do need to crop some off the left side so there is more image in front of the bird. Like Dave said the depth of field in your original image in great and the posts do enhance that however they are too heavy and interfere with the subject being the bird,so again cropping helps directs focus to bird. Brian's first crop shows the clarity and detail in the bird and his feathers and is offset by the blurred background. |

have to agree with comments. Architecture is challenging. Sometimes it better to crop into interesting detail. a window closeup or a doorframe or just the top cornice or such. think of it as graphic design and look for angels etc. |

your first crop from the right side is better and it keeps the intent of a mermaid clearly. the crop just below the knees is also a nice image but doesn't carry the mermaid and so like Richard said the ropes should go. they are in conflict with her pose and expression which would be more of a wistful dream effect so the bubbles work. nice model and image quality. as for the mermaid pose I think the 1 or 2 images would work better for a mermaid pose if the bubbles were right. |
