Dave a really great dramatic photo. Panning is something I have not yet been successful at. Appreciate your effort and comments re panning. riding hands free is something I used to do often in my teens. gives one a real sense of freedom so with the cyclist looking off to the scenery one can appreciate his enjoyment of the moment. Think that adds to the strength of the image. thanks for sharing. |

Brian yes a charming photo. Definitely worth the effort you put into capturing this shot. I'm with Sherry not sure I could last all night in cold. hope they provided some kind of heat!
Was at St Augustine Birding Festival late April where Chaz Glatzer gave a Canon sponsored all day presentation of his work. He shoots the white polar bears and other animals in Alaska. his photos are amazing - check out his website.

Sherry yes the butterflies are fun to shoot. this was identified as Leopard Lace Wing found mainly in India and Far East. Yes tried to capture the Blue Morph but very difficult. here is the pair of Leopard Lace Wing Butterflies |

Richard here are two other images. the dark orange is the male and the patterned one is the female. notice that the male has different design one each side but the female has only the one pattern.
