image is very impactful. both color and BW work well. Seeing Oil wells on my first visit to CA 40 years ago they were introduced as giant "Grasshoppers" the image has always stayed with me. |

yes all great comments. Dave's adjustment works. I Like the original photo with Dave's tonal adj best. I did try the adjustment brush in PS (same in LR) to make the swan whiter. it does works. |

yes great perspective and leading lines. perhaps a focus point, a person or animal crossing the path.
I took image into NIK HDR and selected 8 dark and then added -7vingette. a suble adjustment to contrast and color?

Creative and amusing. this image could be an illustration to a dream or a story perhaps. what if you just gave the dress a hint of pink or gold. No cant find the little furry animal in the bushes at top right. hmm looked several times. |

I stopped reviewing after reading Richard's comments and went to went to review high key images. I like the creative aspect of the high key definition that there is no right or wrong. The creator makes a statement. Having more or less white is not the issue. Marilyn captured the boys expression of thrill and the surfboard action which relates a thrilling sport experience.
Great photo.
