wow great comments all. very timely for me. I have plans to go to the Netherlands April 23-May 5. that may be the same weather I will see in some places! I will be traveling with 8 other photographers from a local camera club. original photo had good composition and Brian's filter effects really brought the image out. |

Fun photo. first take was Etcher stair image that go nowhere. But the colors and the children add story. I will google the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, AZ. Brian's blue version works nicely but lacks the children for the story..... |

Welcome to our group. the landscape composition of your original photo speaks to the real environment of the Sonoran desert. I see what your wife sees in the photo. the cropped version showing the receding cacti can stand alone and be a great image but doesn't convey the emotion from having been there.

great photo you captured his expression and character. I like the background treatment in the sepia but his face is also softened. the challenge of replacing backgrounds! really cool photo. |

thanks for all comments. yes I considered deleting this image but then the spectator floating in back ground was amusing. This player from Brasilia was so focused his energy was constant I shot 72 consecutive shots and every one was sharp and great no real editing except cropping and basic. He was an easy subject to shoot. I sent him all 72 images. there was only three with the spectator in and normally I would have deleted them. adelet |
