18 Feb 18 Reply I feel the added colouration adds another dimension to the image, making the music come alive. It also deals nicely with those vignetted edges.

18 Feb 18 Comment Willkommen, Kerstin,
I like the creation a lot. It shows imagination and skill, with a good touch of humour.
The depth of field to the snail and easel elements sets the creation well. The lighting is beautiful, also. Adding the selection of gastropod shells to the easel board compliments the snail, and it's "pose" well. A very good start for you.

18 Feb 18 Comment As mentioned above, the eyes have it, as far as dominance is concerned. The mottled effect of the painting filter works well, looking as it does like bathroom glass effect. With stronger edges to the second version, the eyes are drawn to the arm and led to the eye. I feel that some red removal might lend a better subtle tone to the creation.

18 Feb 18 Comment The secret to the success is the woodcut effect of the filtration to the background, and the well cut in effect of the stag layer. The monochrome augments the effect well. Feb 8th
18 Feb 18 Comment The result is very pleasing to see, being simple and effective a creation around a paperclip. The simplicity of the structures and shapes added, and the monochrome effect, work well for the overall result.
If I had a worry at all it would be the vignette to the corners. Cloning / filtration could lessen, or indeed enhance to remove, or include with effect.

18 Feb 18 Comment The subject is appealing, with the moodiness and season. I am not sure that it is sufficient derived as yet for creative, but there is much scope given the mood, I feel. Feb 8th
18 Feb 18 Reply Beware if using a Mac. The High Sierra update is causing havoc, as I found out to my cost. Feb 8th
18 Feb 18 Comment The impressionistic appearance to the coloured shapes adds interest, as does the soft focus. Both add interest for the eye as it interprets what it might be (feathers to me) and what I feel about it. Black areas just set the background for me. Should you wish to exploit it further, maybe a posterization / solarization filter to change both subjext and black surround. Feb 8th
