making the rear window part of the construct is another way, using an interplay between rear window and headlight as the interests in the picture (posterized with lomo filters) |

To me, the tower lends perspective in its inward slant, and thus some depth in a wide view. |

The edge effects certainly have the desired effects. I am in two minds regarding the contrast level and the dark corner it produces. Whereas it looks like level adjustments would add the finishing touch, as is it throws the emphasis on the headlight. |

The composite layers of technique work well, with the background reduced to coloured woodchip, and the lighthouse much more recognizable. I might like to have the lighthouse place a little more to the right, suggestive of its function by the sea there.

It demonstrates well that, given a simple starting image, an idea in mind can be made into a successful creative result. The introduction of false colours certainly works well, not only to complement the natural wood colours, but also the eye effects created in the knots. The overall effect invokes spirits trapped in wood form. |

Having looked at the originals and the final, I found the softness of the final detrimental to the final result re original 1. I see that others feel the same too. I suspect this is due to the eye catching line effects, which could be enhanced in filtration. Maybe a little colour exageration to, to compliment linework. |
