18 Feb 17 Comment I have toned and softened the doors to match the nearby light region, and removed the RHS bin, by clone (opacity 40%), and a local softening to blend the area, including the lamppost behind. Feb 26th
18 Feb 17 Reply Hi, Marie,
It is certainly an idea to play with. Maybe a linework filter that can be applied locally to either the final or a layer. If done discretly to the near tree it could emphasize the foggy mood.

18 Feb 17 Comment It certainly fulfills the requirement to take another's artwork and create your own from it, not simply record it. I love the original colours, in that they really make the final interpretation sing out.
As Mike indicated, The radial swirls of blocks rather than lines are a must here. A final swirl leaves it an original all of its own.

18 Feb 17 Comment A is for abstract, and any interpretation of that letter therein. A quick look at the original demonstrates how far it has become a creative work. Without trying to see into it, I just love the colours and granularity as it weaves through the format.
Predominately warm colouring of reds streaked with yellow, it is counterbalanced well with the blue / green streak to draw the eye, with a further wander to the radial green.
Does the smidge of blue bottom right hinder or help? Neither, I feel. Its cloning out wuld be no loss, but overdeveloping it may compete with the left hand interest.

18 Feb 17 Comment I like the juxtaposition of the sunny summer smile with winter trees. The eys and branches are the most important features, with the branches radiating out from the eyes. Thus, I wonder if a little softening of the rest of the facial features might draw out this more. Feb 18th
18 Feb 17 Comment I had used the light doors as a focal point, but quite agree, given the moody tones, that darkening would be fitting for the subject, especially with the misty hut.
I am not sure how I missed the bin, just overenthusiastic, I guess. I had thought to reple it by cloning in something of the stone edging at the bottom to indicate the curvature of the pathway edge there, and justify its inclusion.

18 Feb 17 Comment I love the softness of the colours and softness created. The similarly soft dual toned background lends the surrealistic look to a recognisable subject. If I were to have a worry, it would be the out of focus foliage below the petals. maybe those could be replaced with some from another image to cut-paste in? Feb 16th
18 Feb 17 Comment My immediate reaction was that I loved the rich colours and softness of the subject. Examination revealed as the others suggest, with lack of any details in the face and arm. I was thinking that the imposition of a transparent line outline or threshold layer would add more details to these areas. It would also lend the possibility of more blurring to leave the outlines define the subject and colours the expressionism to further make someone else's art your own creative excellence. Feb 16th
