Welcome to our group! I love your image and thought "he must be good" so I read your bio which confirmed that. I just read an article in a recent PSA Journal about the Alligator Farm and we have been there once but I never got an image that was close to this one. I am especially impressed that you could hand hold this equipment and get such a great shot. This image makes me want to go back to the Alligator Farm and I'm looking forward to more great images from you. |

I finally saw what you did with the angle and I agree that it fits the background better.
So, your psychologist thinks I need help? |

Thanks for clearing that up. I certainly have never seen one at that angle. |

I never thought about doing a sky replacement. We usually drive to places in the US so we can have all our camera equipment we want. We've made quite a few cross-country trips but have started driving fewer miles/day and nothing at night. I don't know how much longer we'll be able to do this but flying is no longer fun so we may just have to make shorter trips.
Getting rid of the building might make it a better image but I will want to keep it this way too because it will remind me of that very interesting river walk. |

Maybe I should crop the top off and just show the water falls. It was an urban shot of course but I never thought about just making it a waterfalls shot. Thanks for your comments. |

I too thought it was an animal's face until I finally saw the beak. |

Great street shot although it looks like he's on a rim of a swimming pool. I agree with Stu about cropping it more but otherwise like it. |

When I first looked at this, I thought it was a creative image. Then I finally saw the beak and thought maybe it was a falcon because of the wings. When you say a blue bird in flight, do you mean a Sialia mexicana (western bluebird) or are you just saying the bird is blue? Then I got my bird book out to try to make sense of it but the wings look too long for the bird. It is an interesting photo and I like the image - I just can't identify the bird. Hopefully, you can clarify that. |

I love the flowers and that you waited for fewer people and were able to remove the distractions! I would probably have cropped off the bottom in order to get rid of the not quite sharp flowers (or used a greater depth of field) but it is still a lovely shot. |

I definitely like your rendition better than the original, especially the rocks and sky. Bev's version is also good. I can't say the image excites me but your explanation is good and it is very well done. I will show my lack of knowledge about history by asking "which war?" because all I know is that it was a long time ago. |

A great shot and your explanation about this place helps me understand how and why some of my friends get so attached to their horses. You can tell they are "communicating" which is great. I guess if Tom's eyes were open, it would not be so obvious. |

Maybe it's just not a WOW picture. For me it brings back good memories but it's probably doesn't look as good as it did in person. We'll see whether others have any ideas about how to make it better. |
