48 Feb 21 Reply Thank you - if things continue the way they are, I'll probably never get there. Feb 20th
48 Feb 21 Reply Thank you! Feb 20th
48 Feb 21 Reply Thanks! Feb 20th
48 Feb 21 Reply Thanks - that's good to know. I suspected it but wasn't sure. Feb 18th

48 Feb 21 Comment One of my favorite birds - what a great photo of it. The detail is wonderful. It is not quite as bright red as I remember it - did the sun make it more orange or is it my monitor or am I not remembering it correctly. I agree with not using a textured background - it would not fit. Was it a bald sky? Feb 17th
48 Feb 21 Comment My first impression - I love it, especially the sky. I agree with Bev's idea that it would be great to see the original (but I have not figured out how to do that either). Where is the American River? Feb 17th
48 Feb 21 Comment Obviously our group members are much better at analyzing an image than I am. Every comment made me think and told me something about the image that had not occurred to me. I definitely would have cropped off the left side. I like Jamie's crop too and it is definitely an abstract. This is a great image that has many other possibilities as well as the original one. 48 Feb 21 Comment I love the colors and the whole image but don't think it is very abstract. I like your original too and may have just tried some of the suggestions for sharpening it but probably would have just cropped the left and right side to get rid of those out of focus buds. Feb 17th
48 Feb 21 Reply Thanks! No, I did not replace the sky - only combined 3 or 4 images into HDR. Obviously I must be more discerning about my final version. Feb 17th
48 Feb 21 Reply Thank you. As I replied to Mary I guess I'd better pay more attention when I use HDR. Obviously one of the images was darker but I did not notice that it was too dark for the final version. Feb 17th
48 Feb 21 Reply I did not notice what the HDR did to the clouds but I'll have to pay more attention when I use HDR in the future. Thanks. Feb 17th
48 Feb 21 Reply I can't figure out why it is pixelated because I don't remember what I did. Thanks for pointing it out because I did not even notice it. Feb 17th
48 Feb 21 Comment Now I know why I hated physics and did not earn my usual A but I am impressed with Steve's calculations and the explanation - just don't ask me to do it. I love your image (without the white side borders) and would not have done anything else. Great shot. Feb 17th
48 Feb 21 Comment My first impression was "I love it" and then I read the comments. I had not looked at the original before but after Mary's comments, I looked at it and saw what she meant. I'll have to check Marie's website to see how to do this. I'm wondering if when you apply a texture, it affects the whole image of just the background. Obviously your image has great impact.
