I'm amazed but your high ISO didn't matter - I don't see any noise. |

You can tell I'm not an artist which is why I did not know why you describe your images that way. I'm glad you liked my suggestion but it will be interesting to see what others in the group think. |

I love the composition and would not crop out the grass! The second one looks sharper but I have never had any luck with teleconverters so I wonder if that contributed to it not being as sharp as possible. I still don't quite understand high key but if that's why there is no water to interfere with the duck placement, I like it. |

I thought your image was quite good and I really loved the sunbeams. I did wonder about cropping the tree out of the right. Then I read the rest of the suggestions and agree with them but I must credit you with seeing and capturing this lovely scene. Were you able to do this recently or was it before pandemic time? |

I love the detail and symmetry and especially the stained glass window. I agree with both crops but agree that the arch made a good frame. You must have used a tripod if you were even thinking about lowing the shutter speed more and that you got it sharp with one of 1/100. |

My first look and impression was "Wow" because it was perfect. Then I saw the original and thought, no I like color better. Then I looked more and realized that making it monochrome (and whatever else you did) made the out of focus 2nd tulip much less noticeable and the whole background so much better. This is a long way of saying I love it. |

Reading this, maybe I don't have to change the sky. I am very glad you and others like the saturation and clarity because I do too but worried that it might be too much. Thanks. |

Thank you too. I just got some tips about using Luminar and the sky replacement tool in PS from a camera club member so I may play around with the color now. |

Thank you - I wondered about the blue too but did not have time to play with it. |

I love this, especially the sky which I assume is natural. I'm not sure how you got it so sharp using only f/2.4. I know you always look for a foreground, middle ground, and background but I don't understand why. I may have tried cropping off some of the bottom, making it a square or horizontal instead of a vertical image but I like it this way too. |

I like this and think it shows the village quite well. I like the sky and the other suggestions made. The only thing I wish is that the green trees would be brighter (?)- but not sure how to do it.
I agree with Lloyd's comment about it being a great travel shot but I don't think you could enter it as such if you had changed the sky. Of course if you cropped it like he suggested then it would be fine but you could not do what Jamie suggested about the sign. But since this is not a travel study group, you don't have to worry about those things. |
