I like this one better but I'm still waiting to hear more about low-key and why you want to use it. |

I love the name - noticed it before but forgot to say something about it. |

Thank you! That was before I stopped using the tripod for everything. |

Thanks for telling me the name of that color - I'll try to remember it because I like it too. What do you do that takes you to Japan and requires a suitcase full of work stuff? I hope you are not having to travel now because I think it is probably pretty hazardous. |

My first reaction - it's too dark. Next was - it's really sharp! Then I read your description and thought I must learn more about low key photography. Maybe you could say more about why you like it so dark. The composition and sharpness are perfect. |

I loved this image when I first looked at it (except for the black spot in the upper left) and hope someday to be able to put in skies like you did. Now that I've read all the comments I have learned a lot about how to make improvements and have to agree that they make it better. It is amazing how different people see different things and how many ways there are to improve an image. |

I loved this image when I first looked at it - the rocks, lines and greenery. I do like what Bev did with the sky and must learn to do that. However, I like it the way it is too. I may have tried to darken those bright spots in PS but I don't know if that would have worked. |

This makes me smile and I'm amazed that they all came out at once. Am I supposed to see Bev's changes? I'm wondering how it would like in B&W but I like it the way it is too. |

I love the bridge and red rail (orange?). The only thing that really bothers me is that I don't think it is as sharp as it could be. Were you hand holding when you used 1/80 sec.? Did you increase the clarity in LR? I like what Bev did to the sky. In LR I may have tried to decrease the highlights more and open up the shadows so the greenery in the back would not be so dark. I may be wrong about the sharpness because my depth perception is non-existent (it took me a while to figure out that the big stone piece was in front of the rail). |

I am a little bothered by all the out of focus stuff. I may have tried to crop it so just the hands are showing. Maybe that would not tell the story as well though. |

Good idea. Maybe I'll have time after the election to try it. Thanks for the suggestion. |
