Thanks - I never noticed these buildings in Portland, OR. I have a good friend who lives there but we don't spend a lot of time in the city. |

I like your comments and will try to open the shadows. I am so glad you were able to visit before Covid-19. We could not go into any of the galleries and I look forward to a time when we can. We live very close to Glenstone and drive by it all the time but had never gotten around to visiting it until our camera club field trip Chair arranged this visit. I hope you are both staying safe and I guess I'll have to check your groups now. |

I love the sharpness and composition of this image. Thanks for the info about the background and maybe someday I'll be able to do that too. |

I love the house and that whole part of the image. I agree with Bev's crop of some of the bottom of the iamge. I might have tried to open up the shadows in the trees and the left part with trees. I might have tried to play around with the color of the sky but if that is what you saw, then don't change it. |

I like this image. The only thing I'm wondering is why you did not use more depth of field. |

I love it and agree that nothing needs to be done to it.
Good luck with the surgery - I don't envy you but hope it all goes well. |

First of all I want to know if it was Portland, MD or Portland, OR, not that it makes much difference but I'm curious. I did not notice the "floating" left building until Bev mentioned it but not I wonder how that could be. I like the contrast between old and new and the bright tree does not bother me. However, I would probably try to open up the shadows in the tree of the left. I also might try to use Transform to straighten the building but I don't know if that would work or if it would fit what you are trying to show. It would be interesting to see the original. |

Your final image is MUCH better than the original but I don't begin to understand how you did it. Of course it would not be allowed in a Nature competition but in PID should do very well. We have a club member who is totally against textures so we are beginning to discuss them. |

I did think about that but decided I liked the cloud. But I think your crop is a little better. Thanks. |

We love birds and this is a great shot! We do have Northern Fulmars checked off but can't remember where we saw it. I just checked the Nature definition and can't decide if flipping it is allowed or not. If you ever wanted to enter it in Nature, you could just crop the original so the position would be a little better, just to be on the safe side. |
