48 Jul 20 Comment You are so right. Thank you. I sort of noticed the blue tint but did not try to get rid of it. Next time I think I'll try. Jul 19th
48 Jul 20 Comment Welcome to the group.
When I first looked at this image, I thought "Wow" and then I can't find anything wrong with it. Then I read your comments and realize you know a lot more than I do so I'll be glad to learn from you. I'm still trying to learn to use layers and I know nothing about focus stacking.

48 Jul 20 Reply Thank you! I'm glad someone like my original shot but it is nice to hear all the variations that people suggest. Jul 17th
48 Jul 20 Reply I do like your changed version better but it will be interesting to see what others think. Thanks for trying it. Jul 13th
48 Jul 20 Reply I'll probably use your comments when we discuss it at our NIHCC Board meeting. Jul 12th
48 Jul 20 Comment I like the composition and that you got all 3 poppies sharp. If you could have reached the weeds and moved them off the poppies, I would have liked it better. I also might play with this image and crop off the right side, leaving just 2 poppies or even just crop it so just the bottom bloom is showing. However, if you like this and it reminds you of a pleasant walk, great - just enjoy it. Jul 12th
48 Jul 20 Comment I like this image and agree with Stuart about it having a great leading line and needing a little more color. However, it seems like it needs a little straightening - I would try Transform to see if it looks better. I don't see how you got it that sharp with only 1/50 sec. - I could never do that. While I like Stuart's version OK, I don't particularly like the color of the sky and think you could improve the color and impact just with some LightRoom adjustments. That's probably because I have not yet learned to use Luminar and Topaz and I wonder if they can be used without changing the image so much. Jul 12th
48 Jul 20 Comment I like your image and did not notice the tree trunk until Sharon mentioned it. Then I saw the original and thought I liked the sharper flower better. Now I'm undecided but definitely would like the withered bloom removed. I don't know if you could get rid of the background and keep the flower sharp or not but I'm now learning toward the way you did it. It does convey dreaminess and cropping it to a square would not be difficult. It seems that cloning out the tree trunk would be very difficult. Jul 12th
48 Jul 20 Comment Very interesting image, one I would never have thought to get. I like the depth of field and how sharp the shattered glass is. I wonder if you could tone down the highlights in the top half and open up the shadows in the bottom half. Jul 12th
48 Jul 20 Comment I like this image and Stuarts comments are OK but the only part I really like is getting rid of the red line on the right. Your use of a texture plays into comments from our club about when or if you can use textures. I suppose in PID it is no problem but in Nature or Travel they would be? Jul 12th
48 Jul 20 Reply I like your version too. Thank! Jul 11th
48 Jul 20 Comment Wow - I'm impressed. This is much better than what I did. Thanks for the instructions. Jul 9th
