48 Jun 19 Reply I'm not exactly sure what you mean but if you were to make the whole background black and could increase the size of the mat and make that black too, I think it would be better and you would not notice that it is not really the whole top of the car. Jun 7th
48 Jun 19 Comment I love this image - face is sharp, eye has a catch light, and every hair in his beard shows up. His expression is wonderful and definitely shows his concentration. Jun 7th
48 Jun 19 Comment I like the composition and the colors and lights make me happy. I'm surprised the boats are as sharp as they are given the 1/30 shutter speed. Very interesting and well-done image.

48 Jun 19 Reply I usually agree with you but I think what she did with the water makes the duck stand out more and the background is not as distracting. Wouldn't do as a nature shot though. Jun 7th

I agree with both other comments but wonder if there was something distracting above the car that made you crop it so tightly. I never would have thought about making the whole background black but it would work I think. Jun 7th

48 Jun 19 Comment I'm glad you are part of our group because you are obviously a great photographer and know a lot. I might even learn something from you. I love what you did to keep the bird really sharp but what you did with the background makes it even more striking. Jun 3rd
48 Jun 19 Comment I love the image and after reading how you got it, I'm sure I'll never be able to do any of those things. I'm amazed at what you can do! I am confused about where you took it. I assumed it was in France but, reading your description, I'm wondering if this is actually in Las Vegas. I have not been there for awhile so I can't remember everything I saw.
