48 Apr 19 Reply I can't say I see any difference in the toning (if you did it with the one that has the blue sky). However, I definitely like the blue sky which balances the dark rectangle at the bottom of the image. Apr 9th
48 Apr 19 Reply I had already entered this image into our Abandoned Things competition which was tonight so I did not have time to do any of the things you guys suggested. However, I was very pleased to get a 3rd place in the competition. The judge was really concerned about the subject looking abandoned so he liked it. Apr 9th
48 Apr 19 Reply Thanks! Good idea - I never noticed it. Apr 7th
48 Apr 19 Reply First, I though you meant Banff. Is there a Benff too?
If those colors were like that, don't change them. Somehow I thought you had done something to them to make them that way. I'm also not positive that I see colors correctly on my computer screen. It is a lovely image!

48 Apr 19 Comment I do like the blue sky better. I'm still torn about whether the saturation should be less. I like it the way it is (I think). Apr 7th
48 Apr 19 Reply Thanks. Good idea about the building - I never noticed it. Apr 4th
48 Apr 19 Comment He is engaging and I like the portrait. What I don't particularly like is all the clutter behind him but I'm not sure how you could get rid of it (or whether it really is a good idea). It just seems distracting to me. Apr 3rd
48 Apr 19 Comment Lovely! I like the composition and the colors although I wonder if it is really purple like that. I think the shadows could be opened a little but if you like it the way it is, that's fine too. It does make me want to get back to Banff and our chapter just had a talk with many images taken in the winter in that area. I'm not sure I want to go in the winter though. Apr 3rd
48 Apr 19 Comment I agree that your improvements really did help. It is interesting and makes me want to know more about where it was taken. It looks like the guy might be headed to water but what is all the graffiti on and why is it there? Intriguing. Apr 3rd
48 Apr 19 Comment I think the lighting is good on his face (but I might be wrong since I really don't know much about lighting). It's sharp and you got his eyes engaging you. The only thing I wish is that his hat would show up more, like if the background was a little lighter. Overall, I like it. Apr 3rd
48 Apr 19 Comment I love the fisherman in the yellow jacket and seeing the rods and having all that sharp. If we are going to pick about the white square, how about the green sign and red traffic light? They all sort of tell a little about where he is fishing but maybe could be made less noticeable. All in all I like the image but want to ask the guy why he is out in the rain. Apr 3rd
48 Apr 19 Comment When I first looked at it, I thought, "Wow, I love the colors." Then I read Stu's comment and now have to decide if I would rather have the blue sky in addition to the great colors of the building. I'm not sure - would probably have to see it that way before making up my mind. I really like the way you cropped it! I'm never sure about adding things like Topaz but the colors really worked. 48 Apr 19 Reply As much as I complain about cold weather, there are some advantages. I guess I don't mind the cold so long as there is some sun. Thanks for your comments. Apr 3rd
